Death to Birth and Back Again

To die is to fly
Is
To be free again
From death to birth and back again
Graceful rhythm of nature abound
To feel this life graceful and profound
Splay me open like a fish of fresh water
Eat my eggs and watch me falter
Kill me swiftly, kill me quick
Don’t let me rot until I stink
Plant me, grant me
The soil to grow
So I may be part of this humble abode
Watch me rise up from the deep
Where I kiss you softly on the cheek
I will remind you of a time gone by
When you thought the little girl died
But she is alive, brilliant and bold
Wearing a beautiful woman’s mold
